I was quite pleased for my first national time trial. My previous best time was 55.19 so it was good to beat my Personal best by 1 minute 19 sec. A new club record for Sri Chinmoy Cycling Team as well!

I was off relatively early, number 24 at 8.24am. Next year I will have a later starting point because I already have  faster PB.

The course was comparatively fast. The first 3 miles were all down hill. I was going very fast, close to 45 mph but I probably rode comparatively slower than other people on this section. To be honest I would have preferred to do the course the other way around and have gone up the hill. Luckily (for me) the rain held off until I had finished,  many of the later riders had to ride in the rain.

I was accompanied by a former Cyclo cross champion - Ed Silverton. He took a few photos which I will hopefully be able to put on this site sometime.

Amazing time by Michael Hutchinson of 47.15.

I enjoyed riding the nationals and now want to ride the National 100 mile TT, even though I haven't even rode a 50 Mile TT let alone a 100 Mile TT.
